Dethatch if thatch is ½” or more or if moss is prominent.
Apply compost tea when consistently above 40 degrees at night.
When lawn is 3” cut to 2”.

Consider applying corn gluten (a pre-emergent weed suppressant) to lawn.

Apply compost tea.

Apply 3:1:2 (or close to it) organic fertilizer to lawn.

Apply compost tea.

Overseed if needed (late in month).

Apply compost tea.

Aerate lawn.
Send lawn soil sample to lab for testing.
Apply lime as needed if soil is acid (every 2 – 3 years).
Apply ½” compost top dressing to lawn.

Apply 3:1:2 (or close to it) organic fertilizer to lawn.
Apply compost tea.
Hand pull weeds regularly.
During growing season, unless it rains, water twice a week, 1” each time.
When lawn is 3” cut to 2”, except before dethaching, aeration or applying soil amendments – when it should be cut shorter.
